It has been ages since we’ve updated our blog, and I can’t imagine a better way to restart than with David and Lauren’s wedding celebration in Aspen Colorado. David and Lauren got married in a small ceremony a few months before the celebration, so this entire day was all about the PARTY! This celebration absolutely had it all: the gorgeous backdrops of Apsen, great music, great decor and florals, great food, and at the center of it all, the love of an absolutely stunning couple.

The wedding featured not one, but two incredible bands, with the highlight of the night being the New York Bee Gees, a Bee Gees cover band so incredible that it felt like we were pulled right back to the 70’s with the Gibbs brothers on the stage. The decor was set up to match the disco atmosphere with dozens of disco balls hung in the tent, with a absolute show piece 6 foot disco ball at their center. Details like this are the wedding videographer’s dream, and it gave us such a playground to work in, which ultimately led to one of the most creative edits we’ve ever done.

The floral, planning and decor were provided by our good friends at byBello Events, who are some of our absolute favorite planners to work with. Lindsey and her crew are an absolute joy! Their attention to detail along every step of the way sets vendors and couples up for the least stressful weddings we ever get to be a part of, and the quality of their productions are second to none. We were also able to reunite with Megan Wynn Photography, who we’ve had the privilege of working on a number of weddings now. She does such incredible work, and is such an awesome team member to work alongside on a wedding day.

We are so lucky to get to spend our days filming and editing mountain weddings like this one. Aspen holds a special, almost mythcal, aspirational place in the hearts of most Colorado wedding vendors. The views of the resort and the surrounding 14ers, paired with the mystique of Aspen itself capture everything that is so special about Colorado, and getting to spend a weekend up in nature filming is one of the highlights of my job!
