Erin and Austin reached out to me in November of 2019 with their plan for a micro-wedding in Breckenridge, not knowing that Covid closures and restrictions would force them to downsize their already small wedding even further. Their guest list shrunk from around 15 down to just 2, the bride’s sister moved from maid of honor to officiant, and physical presence changed to notes from loved ones read aloud during the ceremony.
In spite of these punches, the day was still an absolute dream. Any couple who books a winter wedding in Breck is hoping for one thing: snow! The weather did not disappoint. Clouds rolled in, snowflakes fell, and the walk to the ceremony site at Sawmill Reservoir became a trek through nearly a foot of fresh powder! The resulting wedding was quiet and wonderfully intimate in a way only elopements can be, and the resulting video is among our favorite videos we’ve ever produced.
Thank you Erin and Austin, for rolling with the punches, dealing with snow and cold for the sake of photos and video, and above all for trusting us to be the eyes for your guests who couldn’t be present in person!
